Tim Clifford ‘80

Tim Clifford had a successful career in business as a CEO launching or building four successful software companies as well as running large divisions of two public companies (ADP, HPS). He now spends his time as a board member of public and private companies as well as non profit entities.
Tim transferred to NU and as a red shirt stroked the 2nd V to a second place finish at the IRA’s and then Captained the 1V in his senior year. He stroked the 1V at Henley in ‘78 in the Grand Challenge Cup semi-finals. After he graduated NU in 1979 he won the 4+ at US Nationals and placed second in the Elite 8. Tim then made the 1979 USTeam and placed 5th in the 8 at Bled Yugoslavia in the World Championships. He was a member of the 1980 US Olympic training squad.
He is married to Colette, who also attended Northeastern. They reside in the Boston area, grateful to be near their daughter and sons’ families.
