Trevor Appier
Assistant Coach
Trevor Appier returned to Northeastern as a volunteer assistant in March of 2020, moved a full-time role in 2021, and finished his first year as an assistant coach in 2021-22.

In 2021-22, Appier helped lead the Huskies in a year that saw the first varsity upset Stanford at the Pac-12 Challenge, and picked up dual wins over Penn, BU and Wisconsin. Appier helped guide the three Northeastern boats at IRA’s that saw the first varsity finish second in the petite final with an open water advantage over third-place Princeton, second varsity win in the third level final, and the varsity four finish third in the petite final.

In 2020-2021, Appier helped lead the Huskies to a 4th place team finish at IRAs, placing all three varsity crews into the Grand Final with 14-2 regular season record across all crews.
COACHING CAREER:
Assistant coach for three years at Northeastern (Volunteered in 2020)
Associate Head Coach at Boston College
Went from 17th to second in one year at the ARCA National Championship with BC
Won team points at the New England championships
Led BC to a program-best finish at the Head of the Charles
Also coached at Communnity Rowing Inc. coaching Youth National Championship Qualifying boats
ROWING CAREER:
Rowed for Northeastern from 2013-17, captain in 2017
Medalled at the Eastern Springs twice (gold in JV 2014 and silver in varsity 2015)
Grand Finalist at the IRA National Championships in the varsity and JV eights
Rowed varsity in 2016 and 2017, finished seventh both years
Rowed at multiple high performace clubs and competed in the Henley Royal Regatta, U.S. National Team selection events, and others
Led the Atlanta Junior Rowing Association to program-best Youth National Championship performances
