Charlie graduated from Northeastern in 1987 with a degree in finance. He was a walk-on, barge trained, freshman in ’82. He won the Head of the Charles club eight in ’83 and placed third in the IRA varsity four in ‘85. He became a Navy pilot after graduation. He left Navy active duty in ’98 taking a pilot position at United Airlines where he’s currently a Boeing 737 captain. He continued his military service as a Navy reserve pilot until retiring from that organization in ’08. Along the way, he became a certified financial planner (CFP) and owns Atlantic Financial Planning. He lives in Annapolis, MD with his wife and teenage children. In his spare time, he can be found sailing, cycling or occasionally on an erg.
